Today’s devotional is titled:
Small, but Used by God
Judges 6:16
“The Lord answered, ‘I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.’”
Gideon wasn’t strong or famous. In fact, he felt small and afraid. But one day, God came to him and said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior!” Gideon was shocked and said, “Who, me? I’m just an ordinary person!” But God didn’t choose the wrong person. He knew Gideon could do great things if he believed and obeyed.
When the Midianites came to attack, Gideon gathered many soldiers. But God said, “There are too many! Reduce them!” In the end, only 300 men were left to face thousands of enemies. Can you imagine that? But Gideon wasn’t afraid. He believed that God would fight for them. With torches, trumpets, and jars, they confused the enemy—and God gave them a great victory!
Truth Junior Friends, sometimes we also feel small—maybe not as smart as others, not as brave, or not as talented. But God can use anyone who believes and obeys Him.
You may seem small in people’s eyes, but you are great in God’s eyes! When God is on your side, nothing is impossible. Just like Gideon, you too can be a little hero used by God to do amazing things!
