Today’s Devotional Title:
Singing for God

Acts 16:25
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

“Why should we keep singing when we’re sad?” Bima asked as he sat in the living room.
Dad looked at him and said, “A long time ago, there were God’s servants named Paul and Silas. They were put in prison even though they hadn’t done anything wrong. Their feet were chained — but instead of complaining, they sang songs of praise to God.”

Bima looked surprised. “Really? They could still sing in prison?”
Dad smiled. “Yes, and then God sent a big earthquake! Their chains came loose, and the prison doors flew open. God set them free.”

Bima nodded slowly. “So… if I sing to God even when I’m sad, He can give me strength too?”
Dad patted his shoulder. “Exactly. Your song can be a prayer that makes your heart strong.”

Truth Kids friends, Silas was a hero of faith because he stayed faithful and praised God even in difficult times. You can do that too! When you’re sad, scared, or lonely, keep singing for God.
He will watch over you and fill your heart with joy!
