Singing
Psalm 8:2
“Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.”
Truth Junior friends, have you ever been to a concert? Who’s your favorite singer? Usually, we memorize all the lyrics of our favorite singer’s songs, even their style. With excitement, we follow and imitate them. It’s not wrong to enjoy songs and styles from your favorite singers, but make sure the lyrics don’t contain harsh or inappropriate words for kids your age, Truth Junior friends.
It’s even better if we also love the songs we sing at church, songs that help us love the Lord Jesus more. Many worship songs have lyrics that teach us how to live fully for God.
With your little hands lifted up in praise, you can bring joy to God’s heart. Others who hear you sing sincerely can also feel God’s love and power. Through singing, you can be a witness to many people. You can share the story of Jesus through your songs.
That’s why we must be careful in choosing songs, Truth Junior friends. Make sure the songs you sing bring a positive impact for your spiritual growth.
