Serving with Humility

John 13:14-15
“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”

Hello, Truth Junior friends! Did you know that Jesus once washed His disciples’ feet? Wow, even though He is Lord and Teacher! But He was willing to do a task that was usually done by a servant. Why? Because Jesus wanted to show that serving is not just for certain people. Everyone, including us, can and should learn to serve, especially with a humble and loving heart.

Serving doesn’t always have to be something big or difficult. We can start with simple things. For example, helping a friend carry their bag, assisting a younger sibling who struggles with their shoes, or tidying up toys together. When we do these things sincerely and without pride, we are following Jesus’ example. Sometimes we think, “That’s not my job,” or “Let someone else do it.” But Jesus never thought that way. Instead, He showed that the greatest ones are those willing to serve with humility.

Truth Junior friends, let’s learn to be God’s children who are not proud, but willing to help anyone. Serving is not about who we are, but about having a heart that cares. The more humble we are, the more we become like Jesus. Let’s be excited to serve, at home, at school, and wherever we are!
