Today’s devotional is titled:
Remaining Faithful Amid Injustice

“the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.” — Genesis 39:21

Joseph experienced much injustice in his life. He was betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife, and even imprisoned though he was innocent. From a human perspective, Joseph’s life seemed unfair and full of suffering. Yet amidst it all, one thing never changed: God remained with Joseph.

We often face similar situations. There are times when we are treated unfairly, misunderstood, belittled, or feel that our efforts are not appreciated. Such situations can lead to disappointment and a loss of spirit. But through Joseph’s life, we learn that God’s presence does not depend on comfortable circumstances. God continues to work even in the midst of difficult and confusing trials.

Joseph did not let his pain cause him to turn away from God. He continued to live righteously and faithfully even though circumstances were not in his favor. That is why God used Joseph’s life to bring salvation to many people. God’s presence in Joseph’s life transformed suffering into a purposeful process of formation.

Rehobot Youth, perhaps today you are facing a situation that feels unfair. But do not give up or turn away from God. The living God continues to accompany you and work in every process of your life. Stay faithful, because God can use every difficult season to shape your life into a blessing for many people.

What to Do?
• Surrender the disappointment and injustice you’re experiencing to God.
• Learn to live righteously even when circumstances aren’t always fair.
• Trust that God is still at work and accompanying you through every process.
