Quality Relationships Begin with God
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:”
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Rehobot Youth, everyone needs relationships in their life. We have family, best friends, schoolmates, ministry partners, and many others who are part of our life’s journey. However, not all relationships have a positive impact. There are relationships that build us up, but there are also those that can distance us from God. Therefore, we need to understand that a quality relationship is not just about feeling comfortable with someone; it is about a connection that draws us closer to God and helps us grow into better individuals.
Building healthy relationships is not always easy. Differences of opinion, misunderstandings, disappointments, and even conflicts often arise in our interactions with others. In such moments, we need strength from God to keep loving, forgiving, and maintaining unity. If we rely solely on our own feelings or abilities, we might easily give up or respond to others in the wrong way. Yet, God provides the strength for us to demonstrate the love and character of Christ in every relationship.
Rehobot Youth, God is also a faithful Guide in building relationships that align with His will. Through God’s Word, we are taught to choose good company, respect others, speak the truth, and live in love and humility. When God is at the center of our relationships, the bonds we form do not focus merely on personal interests; instead, they aim to support and strengthen one another and foster growth together in faith.
Therefore, Rehobot Youth, do not seek relationships simply because they make you feel accepted; seek relationships that draw you closer to God. Involve God in every relationship you build, and seek His wisdom when choosing friends, close companions, and communities. When God becomes the source of strength and the guide in your connections, your relationships will become a blessing—not only to yourself but also to the many people around you.
What To Do?
• Build relationships that draw you closer to God.
• Involve God in every relationship.
• Demonstrate the love of Christ in your daily interactions.
