Today’s Devotional is titled:
Productivity ≠ Being Connected to God
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.” – John 15:5
We live in a generation that glorifies productivity. The busier you are, the more successful you seem. The more items you cross off your to-do list, the more you feel you matter. But have you ever felt… busy yet empty?
Jesus never called us just to be efficient. He called us to bear fruit. And true fruit doesn’t grow out of a packed schedule, but from a living relationship with the Source of life.
You can complete five major tasks in a day, but if that leads you farther from God’s presence, it’s not a spiritual win. On the other hand, you might finish only one task — but do it in communion with God, and it brings an irreplaceable peace.
The world measures productivity by output. Spiritual productivity is measured by intimacy. God doesn’t need your accomplishments to be close to you. He just wants you to remain — not just visit.
What to Do:
1. As you complete tasks today, take 2–3 minutes to pause and say: “Lord, I want to remain in You — not just finish tasks, but walk with You.”
2. Evaluate: what filled most of your week — activity or intimacy with God?
