Present with Love
This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. – 1 John 4:9
As Christmas approaches, the atmosphere is usually warm and caring, but honestly, sometimes we are too busy with our own lives. Some are tired of thinking about their final assignments, some are healing from unclear relationships, or feel like they “don’t want to join in the Christmas vibe this year.” In fact, love is not always about big moments; sometimes it’s just about being present with love for others.
Being present with love doesn’t mean you have to be super nice all the time. It can be as simple as not getting angry in a chat, taking the time to listen to a friend’s problems without judging, or being brave enough to apologize first when you’re wrong. Small things like that can make the atmosphere around you warmer, and that is also a form of real love.
Christmas is about God choosing to be present for us. Now it’s our turn to learn to be present for others. Not because we have to, but because the world is already cold enough without sincere love. Sometimes, simple things like being present and listening mean a lot to someone. You don’t have to wait for the perfect moment to show love. Just start now, with a heart that cares.
What to Do:
1. Think of one person you can show a small act of kindness to today.
2. Do it sincerely, not to look good, but because you know that even small acts of love can have a big impact.
