Prayer Has Great Power

Genesis 29:35
“She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, ‘This time I will praise the Lord.’ So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.”

Truth Kids friends, have you ever felt unnoticed, unloved, or disappointed and sad because what you wanted didn’t come true? If so, let’s learn from a woman in the Bible named Leah. Leah was Jacob’s first wife. However, Jacob loved Rachel, his second wife, more. Because of this, Leah often felt neglected and unloved. Her heart was sad and disappointed, yet she continued to praise the Lord in her prayers.

This moved God’s heart. He heard all of Leah’s prayers and the sadness in her heart, so He blessed her with several sons as a comfort and so that Jacob also came to love Leah.

From Leah, we learn that God hears every one of our prayers. There is no reason for us not to give thanks and praise the Lord. Even when our lives don’t seem to be going well, God’s blessings and presence are always with us. That’s why we must be like Leah—though she felt unloved, neglected, disappointed, and sad, she always had a reason to praise the Lord and pray to Him.

Lea knew that only God would never disappoint her, and God proved His love and kindness to Leah. So, never underestimate the power of prayer, Truth Kids friends. A prayer lifted up to God sincerely and wholeheartedly has great power.
