Today’s devotional is titled:
Potential That Builds
“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” — Romans 14:19
In today’s world, a person’s influence can spread very quickly. A single word, a single post, or a single action can affect many people. Therefore, potential is not just about ability, but also about how our lives impact those around us.
God gives each person different abilities. Some are skilled at leading, creative, good at cheering others up, or able to inspire through simple words and actions. However, great potential without the right direction can be used to bring others down, hurt them, or seek self-validation.
God’s Word calls us to pursue things that bring peace and mutual edification. This means our presence should make others feel strengthened, not hurt. When our hearts are led by God, the potential we possess will yield empathy, love, and a healthy influence on others.
Rehobot Youth, God doesn’t just call us to be great individuals, but also to be people who build others up. Use your potential to bring hope, support, and peace to those around you. Because potential used with a right heart can become a tool God uses to transform the lives of many people.
What to Do?
• Pay attention to how your attitude and words affect others.
• Use your abilities to support, help, and strengthen others.
• Ask God to shape a humble and loving heart as you use your potential.
