Obedience

Luke 1:38
“Mary responded, ‘I am the Lord’s servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.’ Then the angel left her.”

Do you remember Mary, the mother of Jesus, Truth Junior friends? Let’s recall how Mary was chosen and trusted by God to conceive and give birth Jesus.

One day, Mary was visited by the angel Gabriel. The angel told her that she would give birth to a son and that His name should be Jesus (Luke 1:31). At first, Mary felt confused and unworthy to be the mother of Jesus. But in the end, Mary answered, “May your word to me be fulfilled.” This showed that Mary had a heart that obeyed what God had planned for her.

It wasn’t easy for Mary to obey God, because at that time she was not yet married. But Mary chose to trust and obey God, believing that He had arranged everything perfectly. Through the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35), Mary was blessed to conceive baby Jesus, who would be called the Son of God.

Let’s follow Mary’s example of obedience. At home, obey your parents when they ask for help. At school, obey your teachers. At church, obey your leaders and Sunday School teachers. Most importantly, obey God by doing what His Word teaches every day. Believe this: obedience will bring blessings and make our lives beautiful.
