Today’s devotion is titled:
Not Just Earning Money, But Living Your Calling

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Colossians 3:23

Have you ever felt that your daily work is just a routine to earn money? Many people work only for their salary, without truly understanding the meaning and purpose behind what they do. But God invites us to see work not merely as a means to make money, but as a calling and ministry that carries eternal impact.

Let’s look at an example from the Bible Joseph. Even though he was sold by his brothers and became a slave, he worked faithfully and wholeheartedly, first as Potiphar’s servant and later as a ruler in Egypt. Joseph didn’t just work for profit; he served with a devoted heart. And through his obedience, God used him to save many lives.

Even more, Jesus Himself is the ultimate example of living out a calling. He came to earth not for worldly gain, but to serve and save humanity. Jesus worked with perfect purpose fulfilling His calling from the Father.

When you begin to see your work as a calling from God, you’ll no longer feel trapped by routine. Every small task becomes part of God’s bigger plan one that glorifies His name and blesses others.

What to Do:
1. Reflect are you living your work as God’s calling, or just chasing money? Seek the deeper meaning in what you do.
2. Pray “Lord, help me to do everything with a sincere heart as Your calling, so that I may be a blessing and glorify Your name through my work.”
