Noah’s Obedience to God
Genesis 6:22
Noah did everything just as God commanded him.
Truth Kids friends, have you ever been mocked by your friends for doing the right thing?
For example, you wanted to pray before eating, but your friends laughed at you. Or you refused to give answers during a test, and your classmates got angry with you. It doesn’t feel good, does it? But remember, God is pleased when we remain obedient even if others don’t agree.
A long time ago, there was a man named Noah. God told him to build a big ark because a great flood was coming that would cover the whole earth. But at that time, the weather was clear, and there was no sign of rain at all. People laughed at Noah and thought he was crazy. But Noah didn’t care, Truth Kids friends. He fully believed and obeyed God.
Day after day, Noah kept working until the ark was finished. And when the rain finally came and poured down without stopping, everyone was terrified. But Noah and his family were safe because they were inside the ark — just as God had commanded.
So, Truth Kids friends, sometimes obeying God makes us look different from others, and we might even be disliked or avoided. But remember Noah’s story: because of his obedience to God, he and his family were saved.
