Today’s Devotional:
Me Time With God

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
— Luke 5:16

In a world that moves way too fast, it’s so easy to feel drained. Overthinking, deadlines piling up, friendship drama, pressure from yourself—everything can make your heart tired. That’s why so many people look for “me time” just to breathe for a moment. But here’s the thing: the best me time isn’t just lying down while scrolling TikTok, it’s quiet time with God.

Even Jesus showed us this. In the middle of His packed ministry schedule, He intentionally stepped away to talk with the Father. Not because He ran out of things to do, but because He knew that without staying connected to the Source of Life, everything else would feel empty.

A lot of us show up at church or serve in ministry, but rarely show up before God. But God isn’t looking for performance—He’s looking for a personal encounter. When we pause, pray, reflect, or simply sit quietly in His presence, that’s where healing begins.

Me time with God isn’t just a spiritual routine—it’s a spiritual safe space. A place where you don’t have to act strong, don’t have to pretend, don’t have to mask your feelings. You just come as you are, to the One who knows you the best and loves you the most.

What to do:
1. Turn off your phone notifications and spend 10 quiet minutes today just for God. Sit still, breathe, or write your thoughts in a prayer journal.
2. Read one verse slowly and reflect on its meaning. Let God speak not the social media algorithm.
3. If you feel peace afterward, that’s the real me time.
