Loss Becomes Hope
Luke 24:21
But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.
Rehobot Youth, loss hurts. Losing a loved one, a changed relationship, or someone who was always there—it feels empty and leaves you confused about what to do. Jesus’ disciples were also there. They thought Jesus was the answer, but when Jesus died, their hopes were shattered.
They didn’t understand that behind their loss, God was preparing something far greater: the resurrection. What they thought was the end was actually the beginning of a new hope.
Just like us, sometimes loss makes us feel like everything is over. But God never stops there. He can use loss to draw us closer to Him, change our perspective, and open paths we didn’t see before.
Loss is never easy, but it’s not the end of the story. God can turn hurt into strength, and sadness into hope. What we see now may only be the painful part, but God is writing a bigger story.
So if you’re experiencing loss, don’t close your heart. Because behind it, God may be growing new hope.
What To Do?
• Be honest with God about your loss.
• Cherish those who are still around you.
• Believe: God can turn loss into hope.
