Living Right, Living with Gratitude
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
📖 Micah 6:8
Many people think that the way to thank God is simply by saying words of gratitude in prayer. But the Bible clearly says: the best way to show gratitude is by living rightly. Living rightly isn’t just about “not doing evil,” but actively choosing the path that aligns with God’s will.
We can see a real-life example in Sadie Robertson Huff, a Christian influencer followed by many young people. She remains consistent in sharing messages of faith in the middle of a social media world full of image-building. Sadie shows that living rightly is a form of gratitude—not just words, but a lifestyle that is transparent, honest, and brave enough to be different.
As young people, we are often tempted to follow trends that aren’t always healthy. But living rightly means daring to say “no” to things that draw us away from God. In doing so, we are saying, “Lord, I’m grateful for my life, so I want to live it according to Your will.”
Living rightly isn’t always easy. There’s a risk of being excluded or seen as “not cool.” But believe this: living rightly brings peace and becomes a powerful testimony. That’s the coolest way to say “thank you” to God—not only through words, but through the way we live every day.
What to Do:
1. Choose one small habit you can straighten out (for example: be honest in your assignments, don’t cheat).
2. Be brave enough to say “no” to things that pull you away from God.
3. Make living rightly a lifestyle, not just a moment.
