Today’s Devotional Title:
Listening and Obeying Like John

Matthew 3:3
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’”

Truth Kids friends, do you know what baptism is? Baptism is a special sign of our promise to Jesus. It’s the beginning of a new life — a time when we commit to live cleanly and follow His teachings. In the Bible, there was a great man of faith named John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Jesus’ coming.

John lived simply in the wilderness and wore clothes made of camel’s hair. He boldly told everyone that Jesus was coming. He wasn’t afraid of being disliked or punished, because what he feared most was not doing what God had told him to do. John was also very humble — he always said that he was only a servant of God.

From John’s story, we learn to be brave, honest, and simple in our lives. For example, if you see a friend cheating or taking something that isn’t theirs, you can kindly remind them or tell the teacher. That’s also one way to be a hero of faith!

Come on, Truth Kids friends! Let’s be children who are brave, obedient, and humble like John. Starting today, let’s be heroes of faith who prepare the way for Jesus through our words and actions every day.
Jesus is with you and will bless you always!
