Light
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16
Indonesia is an archipelago, with countless islands stretching from Sabang to Merauke. Each island has different natural conditions. Sadly, in some parts of Indonesia, there are still regions that do not have reliable electricity 24 hours a day. In those places, people can only enjoy electricity for a few hours. The light they receive feels very precious. Especially at night—even a single candle can shine brightly to light up a home.
As children of God, we are also called to be light. That means showing goodness and care to others. When we do this, people can see God’s love through our actions. Even a small act, like helping a friend who has fallen, can be a sign of light from our lives.
Truth Juniors, think about this: what kind of “light” have you shone today? It doesn’t have to be something big. Start with small, simple acts you can do yourself. The important thing is to do them sincerely. The people who receive your kindness will feel joy, and they will see the light of God through you.
So let’s do it today! Let’s put into practice the Word of God we just read. Good luck!
