Today’s devotional is titled:
Learning Like Jesus
“Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.” – Proverbs 1:5
The morning sky was bright, but Tama’s heart felt cloudy. He didn’t feel like going to school.
“Why do I have to study all the time? It’s so tiring!” he complained.
Mama sat down beside him and said, “Tama, do you know? The knowledge you learn today can help many people in the future. A child who studies diligently is not only smart, but can also be a blessing to the world. When Jesus was young, He once stayed in the temple. He sat with the teachers, listening and asking questions. Jesus was eager to learn, because He knew it was important.”
Truth Juniors, studying is not just about getting good grades or praise from teachers. Learning is how we become wise, and through wisdom, God can use us to care for this world. God gave us minds and opportunities so we can grow and develop, just like Jesus did when He was young.
Imagine if no one wanted to learn. Who would become doctors? Who would design bridges or create eco-friendly technology? It all begins with children who take their learning seriously.
God is pleased when we are faithful in small things—like studying diligently. Because through that faithfulness, He can trust us with bigger things.
So, Truth Juniors, let’s start this week with a heart full of excitement to learn! Don’t be lazy, don’t just wait until someone tells you to. Every piece of knowledge you learn can be used by God to make the world a better place. Remember, even Jesus gave us the example of growing in wisdom.
God longs for each of us, His children, to grow in His Word and also help others every day.
So, guys… value your time, because time never comes back twice!
