Have you ever helped someone else? For example, helping your mom, dad, or younger sibling at home?
Long ago, in a town called Shunem, there was a woman who was very kind, friendly, and full of love. This woman had no children yet. One day, a servant of God named Elisha came to that town. The woman from Shunem wanted to help Elisha with all her heart, so she prepared a small and comfortable room for him. She did it gladly and with love.
Do you know what happened, Truth Kids friends? Because of her kindness and hospitality, God made the woman from Shunem very happy. The prophet Elisha delivered a message from God that one day she would have a son. Wow, amazing, right? God blessed her kindness with the most wonderful gift.
Truth Kids friends, you can be like the woman from Shunem too! You can help your mom and dad with small things—like tidying up your toys, listening to their advice, and being kind. When you do that, your mom and dad will love you even more.
So come on, let’s be children who are kind, friendly, and full of love—just like the kind woman from Shunem!
