Jesus Is Greater Than Death

Mark 5:41–42
“He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum!’ (which means ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!’). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.”

Truth Junior friends, today’s verse tells about a synagogue leader who was very sad because his daughter was seriously ill. He ran to find Jesus and begged Him to come to his house. But before Jesus arrived, bad news came: his daughter had died. The house was filled with crying, and many people said, “Don’t bother anymore, it’s too late.”

Yet Jesus still went inside and said, “Don’t be afraid, just believe.” He gently took the girl’s hand and said, “Talitha koum!” which means, “Little girl, get up!” Immediately she came back to life and started walking. Everyone who saw it was amazed and filled with joy.

This miracle shows us that Jesus’ power is greater than death. Nothing is impossible for Him. When everyone else had given up, Jesus proved His love and His mighty power.

We may not always see miracles of resurrection today, but we can trust that Jesus still gives us new hope. When we are afraid, sad, or lose something, He is there to strengthen and help us.

A hero of faith is someone who keeps believing even when the situation seems impossible. So, Truth Junior friends, let’s learn to fully trust Jesus—because with Him, there is always new hope, even in the hardest times.
