Jesus Calls Your Name

John 20:16
Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher).

Hi, Truth Junior friends! Have you ever been called by name by your mom or dad, and right away you knew it was their voice? It feels warm, doesn’t it—because you know them and love them.

In John 20:16, there’s an amazing story. After Jesus rose from the dead, Mary Magdalene went to His tomb. She was sad because she thought His body had been taken away. But suddenly, Jesus appeared and called her name, “Mary!” At once, Mary recognized His voice and cried out, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher). Imagine—Jesus, who had risen from the dead, called Mary by name with love.

Truth Junior friends, sometimes we also feel alone or confused. Maybe a friend doesn’t want to play with us, or we’re afraid of a test. Sometimes we think God is far away or doesn’t care. But the truth is, Jesus is always near and calls our name in our hearts to remind us that we are loved and never alone.

Let’s learn from Mary Magdalene, who immediately responded to Jesus’ call. When we pray or read God’s Word, let’s open the ears of our hearts so we can hear His voice. When we’re sad, afraid, or confused, remember that Jesus knows us and lovingly calls our name.

So, Truth Junior friends, let’s always listen to and obey Jesus’ call every day!
