If You’re Present, Make an Impact!
Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:16
Have you ever felt like you were just “there” without really making an impact? Or maybe you’ve thought, “What’s the point of being different if no one appreciates it?” Actually, God doesn’t just call us to be present. He wants our presence to be meaningful, to bring change and to shine His light wherever we are.
A “powerful” presence doesn’t mean we have to stand out, but rather a presence that has a positive impact on others. A simple example is when friends in class start gossiping, we can choose not to join in. When a friend is feeling discouraged, we can be the one who encourages them. Even small things like greeting someone first or helping without being asked can show the light of Christ in us.
Jesus does not call us to be spectators in this life. He calls us to be agents of change. The world is full of people who want to be seen, but God is looking for people who want to bring His love. A “powerful” presence is not measured by popularity, but by how we reflect God through our daily actions.
What to Do:
1. Start your day with prayer: “Lord, use me so that my presence today can be a blessing.”
2. Find one small thing you can do to bring goodness today, such as giving a smile or simply being a good listener.
