Today’s Devotional:
Hope Found in a Manger
“And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.” Luke 2:7
Picture this: Christmas night, but no twinkling lights, no party, no presents. Just a young couple, exhausted, and a tiny baby sleeping in a feeding trough. Jesus was born in quiet—not in the spotlight.
If you’ve watched Stranger Things, you know Eleven. She wasn’t born in a “normal” place, didn’t grow up in a cozy home, and didn’t have a complete family. But from a hidden, lonely place, she became a protector saving her friends and even the world.
Jesus did the same. Born in a place no one cared about, yet He became the center of hope for all. Christmas isn’t about the noise it’s about the presence. Not about the party, but about the Person who shows up in our silence.
Maybe this Christmas won’t be as lively as usual. Maybe you won’t be with your whole family or have big events planned. But here’s the good news: Jesus still shows up. Even in the quiet, He is Immanuel God with us.
✅ What to Do?
1. Take 10 minutes today to sit quietly and talk to God. No fancy words needed just be real. Share how you’re feeling as the year ends.
2. Write down one small thing you’re thankful for today. Stick it somewhere you’ll see often (your desk, mirror, or phone). Let it remind you: hope doesn’t always come in big packages sometimes it’s wrapped in a manger.
