Hear the Voice of the Spirit

Acts 8:29
The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”

Rehobot Youth, have you ever suddenly felt compelled to do something good? Like wanting to help a friend, wanting to greet someone, or wanting to be honest even though it’s hard. Don’t immediately dismiss it as just a normal feeling—it could be the Holy Spirit speaking to you.

Philip experienced the same thing. Without a long explanation, the Holy Spirit gave him just one simple directive: “draw near to that chariot.” It may seem small, but Philip’s obedience opened a big door—a person coming to know God.

Sometimes we wait for God’s loud and clear voice, but often God speaks through small promptings in our hearts. The problem is, we often hesitate, delay, or ignore it. Yet, that’s when God wants to use us.

Imagine if you were sensitive—one small step you took could strengthen someone else, even be the answer to someone’s prayer. God doesn’t always use big things, but He uses hearts that are willing to listen and obey.

So learning to be sensitive is important. Because the more we listen and obey, the more we will understand God’s voice in our lives.

What To Do?
• Be sensitive to the impulse to do good.
• Don’t delay—take that small step immediately.
• Believe that God can use simple things to have a big impact.
