Today’s devotional is titled:
Guarding Your Heart with Gratitude
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
📖 Proverbs 4:23
Guys, a tired heart is often not because life is too heavy, but because we look sideways too often. Without realizing it, comparison makes our hearts keep working—evaluating, measuring, and eventually judging ourselves.
When our focus shifts from what God is doing to what others have, gratitude slowly disappears. We begin to feel left behind, less successful, or even not good enough.
But God calls us to guard our hearts, not compare our lives. Every time we compare, we’re allowing our hearts to be stolen by standards that don’t come from God.
Gratitude grows when our focus turns back inward: to the process God allows, to the small steps we’re taking, and to God’s love that never changes.
So if today your heart feels tired, check your focus again. It may not be your life that’s wrong, but the direction of your gaze that needs correcting.
What To Do:
1. Notice the moment your heart starts comparing—then stop.
2. Redirect your focus to one thing God is working on today.
3. Guard your heart with gratitude, not with comparison.
