Grateful Without Conditions

“Who are you, a human being, to argue with God?”
📖 Romans 9:20

Guys, the phrase “God should have…” often quietly appears in our hearts.
God should have been faster. God should understand. God should act according to our prayers and our logic. And without realizing it, our faith turns into demands.

This “God should have…” attitude doesn’t come from a lack of prayer—it comes from a lack of gratitude. When our hearts lose gratitude, we begin to feel entitled to control the way God works.

Gratitude breaks that attitude. Not because everything is already going the way we want, but because we realize: God is still God, and we are still His beloved creation. When we give thanks, we are saying, “God, You are sovereign, and I trust You.”

Gratitude helps us stop debating with God and start embracing His process. From demanding to surrendering. From disappointment to trust.

So if today your heart is full of questions and expectations, let gratitude soften your attitude. Because mature faith isn’t about God following us—it’s about us learning to follow God.

What To Do:
1. Catch one “God should have…” sentence that often appears in your heart.
2. Replace that sentence with thanksgiving and surrender.
3. Remember: God knows better what we need than what we ask for.
