Today’s devotional is titled:
God’s Timing ≠ The World’s Timing
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)
You may have felt left behind at some point. Your friends are getting married, launching businesses, going viral, or graduating — while you’re still figuring out which direction to take in life. This pressure is very real for many Gen Z: the need to move fast, succeed early, and have a clear life map.
But God doesn’t operate on social media timelines. He has His own timing — and it is always perfect. What feels like a delay to us may actually be preparation in God’s perspective.
Our task is not to compare the pace of our lives with others, but to trust the heavenly timeline that is never late.
What to Do?
1. Reflect: What is something you’ve been hoping would happen now, but God hasn’t allowed it yet? Consider if this might be a season of preparation.
2. Declare your faith today: “I am not late. I am being prepared.”
