God’s Protection
Genesis 26:24
That night the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.”
Truth Kids friends, have you ever felt scared when you had to do something you didn’t understand?
Maybe when your teacher asked you to come to the front of the class, or when you had to go somewhere new without your parents. But when we believe that God is always with us, our hearts can feel calm—because God protects His children.
In the Bible, Isaac once went through something very frightening. One day, his father—Abraham—took him up a mountain to offer a sacrifice to God. Usually, the sacrifice was a lamb. But this time, God asked Abraham to offer Isaac himself! Even though Isaac didn’t know what would happen, he chose to obey.
When Abraham was about to offer Isaac, the angel of the Lord called out, “Stop!” God saw Abraham’s obedience and provided a ram to be offered instead. Isaac was saved! He saw with his own eyes that God is faithful and always provides at the right time.
Truth Kids friends, God is faithful to us too. He knows what’s best and will protect us in every situation. Let’s learn to trust and obey like Isaac, because God never leaves His children who depend on Him!
