Today’s devotional is titled:
God’s Presence at Home
Joshua 24:15
“…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”
Rehobot Youth, we often think God’s presence is only felt in church, during worship, or in private prayer time. But in truth, God longs to be present in our families too—at home, in our daily conversations, and in the way we treat one another.
Characterizing God’s presence in our families means presenting God’s values in our daily lives. It’s not about perfection, but about attitude. When there is love, forgiveness, patience, and mutual respect—that’s where God is truly at work.
God’s presence can be seen in simple things: the way we talk to our parents, the way we respond to conflict, or how we choose to remain loving even when we’re upset. Home isn’t just a place to live, but a place where God shapes our character.
God wants our families to be vibrant places—not just crowded, but filled with His love. And the good news is, we can be a part of that. Through our attitudes, we can create a different atmosphere, one that reflects God’s heart.
What To Do?
• Establish simple habits: praying together or having a quiet time.
• Demonstrate love through small acts at home.
• Be a peacemaker in the family, not a cause of conflict.
