God’s Calling Isn’t Always Comfortable, But It’s Always Right
“I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me.” – Isaiah 45:4
When we talk about “God’s calling,” many people immediately picture big ministries or dream jobs. But God’s call doesn’t always come through comfort or ease. Sometimes, it shows up through challenges, uncertainty, and hard choices.
Take Moses, for example. God called him through a burning bush to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. And Moses’ response? Fear, insecurity, excuses: “I’m not a good speaker, Lord. Please send someone else.” But God didn’t make a mistake—He knew Moses’ potential. Not because Moses was great, but because God would go with him.
The same goes for us. God’s calling may feel big or small, visible or hidden. But one thing is certain: His calling always comes with His power. Our job isn’t to wait until everything feels safe—it’s to obey and trust that the One who calls will also equip.
What to Do:
1. Reflect: Are you resisting or delaying a calling because you feel unprepared?
2. Write a prayer of surrender and say, “Lord, I trust that the One who calls me will also enable me.”
