Today’s Devotional is titled:
God Doesn’t Need Your Targets to Work
“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” – Proverbs 16:9
In a culture obsessed with targets — grades, achievements, KPIs, and “life timelines” — we often feel the need to achieve something to prove our worth. Sometimes we even think, “If I’m not successful yet, God probably can’t use me.”
But God isn’t bound by results or numbers. He’s interested in your obedient heart. When you miss your targets, it doesn’t mean God has failed — it might actually be His way of shaping your character and redirecting your steps toward your true calling.
Remember, Moses never made it into the Promised Land, yet his life was still a powerful instrument in the history of God’s people. God values obedience over performance.
What to Do:
1. Reflect: which target are you currently chasing hard?
2. Pray: “Lord, may it not be my targets that matter most, but my steps that align with You.”
