God Answers Prayer
1 Kings 18:37
“Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”
Truth Kids friends, have you ever prayed and hoped God would answer right away?
Maybe when the lights went out and you were alone in your room, or when your mom was sick and you wanted her to get better quickly. Sometimes we want God’s answer to come right now!
In the Bible, the prophet Elijah also prayed earnestly in front of many people. He wanted everyone to see that only the Lord is the true God — not the fake gods that people worshiped at that time. Even though others doubted, Elijah kept believing and praying bravely.
And guess what? God answered Elijah’s prayer in an amazing way — fire came down from heaven and burned up the offering! Everyone saw the miracle and realized that the Lord is the living and powerful God.
Truth Kids friends, let’s be children who believe and keep praying like Elijah! Even when others don’t believe, God always hears the prayers of His children. He will answer our prayers in His own perfect way and at the right time!
