Today’s Devotional is titled:
From Ordinary to Extraordinary
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
Sometimes life feels too ordinary. Wake up, go to school or work, scroll through social media, go to bed repeat. Even the skills we have seem average maybe you can draw a bit, love to write, enjoy chatting with people, or you’re good at editing funny videos. Nothing special, right? But have you ever thought that God can use all of that?
Colossians 3:23 reminds us that whatever we do, we should do it with all our heart, as if for the Lord. It’s not about where you work, what you have, or how far you’ve gone, but about how you do it with sincerity, not just chasing human approval, but honoring God. When you do small, ordinary things with an extraordinary heart, God can turn them into something impactful. That simple post of yours might lift someone’s spirit. One small chat could be the answer to someone’s prayer. Your tiny project might inspire someone deeply. You don’t need to be great to be used by God. He doesn’t need perfection He needs willingness. And those who are willing are often the ones who are faithful in small things, done with big love and obedience. So, do small things with great love. Treat every task, project, or hobby as if you’re doing it for God because you actually are. That’s the journey from ordinary to extraordinary.
What to Do:
1. Re-check your daily routines schoolwork, group projects, helping your parents, or work tasks. Start doing them as if you’re doing them directly for God.
2.. Be thankful for your skills even if they seem “ordinary.” Say this prayer:
“God, I want to give my best even in the little things. Use my life to be a channel of blessing.”
3. Take one small action today finish your task wholeheartedly, create something with your skills, or help someone without expecting anything back. Offer it to God as your act of worship.
