False Signals from the Mind
“Do not be anxious about anything… but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” – (Philippians 4:6)
Have you ever felt rejected even before saying a word? Or convinced you would fail before even trying? Those are signals from your mind that aren’t necessarily accurate. Our minds can deceive us with assumptions and imaginations that feel real, but are not grounded in truth.
In the digital age, where information flows rapidly and social media constantly showcases others’ achievements, our minds become battlegrounds of assumptions. We read too much, compare too deeply, and end up overthinking everything. Our thoughts become a source of confusion that robs us of peace.
God’s Word doesn’t tell us to fight negative thoughts with our own strength. The solution is to bring all of it to God in prayer — not by ignoring it, but by consciously laying it before Him. Prayer is not just an escape; it is a healing connection.
What to Do?
1. Take time to reflect: What thoughts have you believed that are not actually based on facts?
2. Pray honestly — not with “church language,” but with the honest language of your own heart.
