Today’s Devotional is titled:
Faithfulness Isn’t Instant
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” – Luke 16:10
We often think of faithfulness as something tied to big things—huge missions, major ministries, or great impact. But true faithfulness begins in the small and hidden moments. Waking up and praying. Keeping your word. Staying committed even when no one sees. These are the quiet acts that shape the character of a child of God.
Take David, for example. Before becoming Israel’s great king, he was just a shepherd in the fields. But that’s where he learned faithfulness. He cared for his sheep and even fought off lions and bears. Who was watching? No one—but God saw.
The same goes for us. Sometimes we’re so focused on the “big calling” that we forget God is watching how we handle the small things today. Freedom from sin doesn’t mean a life without challenges—it’s the beginning of a faithful journey, one step at a time, day by day.
What to Do:
1. Identify one small responsibility you’ve often neglected, and commit to handling it faithfully this week.
2. Reflect: How can God trust you with greater things if you haven’t been reliable in the small ones?
