Today’s Devotional Title:
Faithful to the End
John 19:26–27
When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
That morning, Andi joined a running race at school. At first, he ran with great excitement, but after a few laps, his legs started to ache. Many of his friends gave up halfway. Andi almost stopped too — but then he remembered what his dad had said: “If you’ve started something, finish it until the end.”
So, Andi clenched his teeth and kept running. Even though he didn’t win, he felt proud because he stayed faithful until he crossed the finish line.
In the Bible, there was John, one of Jesus’ disciples. When Jesus was crucified, many of the other disciples had already left. But John stayed near the cross. Because of his faithfulness, Jesus entrusted His mother to John’s care. John’s love and faith gave him the courage to stay close to Jesus, even in very difficult times.
Truth Kids friends, God wants us to be faithful too — faithful in praying, in going to church, in helping others, even when it feels hard.
Faith isn’t just something we say; it’s something we live out through faithfulness.
If John could stay faithful to Jesus in such a hard moment, you can also be faithful in the small things every day.
Remember — God is always with you!
