Today’s Devotional Title:
Faith Seen in How We React

Colossians 3:12
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Faith isn’t just seen in what we say or post, but in how we react when our emotions are tested. When plans fall apart, when we’re misunderstood, or when someone hurts us—that’s where faith becomes real. Our reactions reveal who is truly leading our hearts.

Paul reminds us that as people loved by God, we’re called to “put on” the character of Christ. Compassion, humility, and patience don’t just show up automatically. They are intentional choices—especially when our hearts want to clap back, defend our pride, or respond harshly.

Reactions led by ego often leave wounds. But responses led by faith bring peace and build relationships. Forgiving, holding back, and staying gentle aren’t signs of weakness. They’re signs that Christ is shaping spiritual maturity in us.

Faith is seen in how we react. When we choose love under pressure, the world may not always understand. But God sees it—and through our response, others can see Christ living in us.

What To Do?
1. Pay attention to your first reaction when emotions rise—does it reflect the character of Christ?
2. Ask God to help you “put on” patience and gentleness today.
3. Choose to forgive and respond with love, even when it feels hard.
