Emotional Fatigue Also Needs Rest

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – (Matthew 11:28)

Fatigue doesn’t only come from lack of sleep or too many assignments. There’s a deeper kind of tiredness — emotional exhaustion. When you feel empty, unmotivated, or can’t even explain why you feel numb, that may be a sign your soul is tired.

Jesus offers rest — not just motivational words, but His presence. He doesn’t promise a problem-free life, but He does promise comfort to those who come to Him. Sometimes what you need isn’t a quick fix, but a spiritual place to rest.

As a generation often pressured to be productive and fast-paced, we need to learn that rest does not mean weakness. In fact, resting in the Lord is a true expression of strength.

What to Do?
1. Set aside time today to truly disconnect: turn off your notifications, shift your focus away from your targets, and allow yourself to sit quietly in God’s presence.
2. Listen to worship music that soothes your spirit and let the lyrics become the prayer of your soul.
