Today’s Devotional:
Don’t Freeze Your Heart, Elsa!
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32
Elsa had incredible powers, but because of trauma and fear, she chose to distance herself from those who loved her. She thought that by “letting it go” and living alone, she’d be free. But in reality, her heart remained frozen.
Many Gen Zs feel they have to be independent, strong, and “not need anyone.” But healthy relationships aren’t threats—they can be places of healing. Elsa only truly found freedom when she opened up and received love from Anna.
God’s Word calls us to be kind, loving, and willing to forgive. That doesn’t mean we have to be open with everyone, but we shouldn’t let past wounds freeze our hearts.
A thriving relationship isn’t always loud or busy it’s one that creates space to heal and grow. Don’t be Elsa who runs away. Be Anna who stays present with love.
What To Do:
1. Personal Reflection
Write in your journal or notes: “Who am I avoiding because of past hurt?” Then pray for God to soften your heart and give you courage to make peace.
2. Take a Small Step
Send a message or greet someone you’ve kept your distance from. Not to become close right away but as a sign that your heart is beginning to thaw.
