Whatever we do must be something we can do together with God. Every step and decision we make should make Him feel comfortable being present in it. If we see something that makes God uncomfortable, don’t look at it. If we associate with someone who makes God uncomfortable, stop that association. This decision must be made now—do not delay. Do not think that we still have time. That is dangerous. The power of darkness cunningly deceives people into continually delaying, until finally, they no longer have time to change and even lose the ability to do so. The mind becomes dull, the heart hardens, and one loses the capacity to understand God’s will—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.
We must have the courage to decide to be children of God who delight His heart at all times. This path is not easy; its suffering is excellent, and its responsibility is heavy. Jesus pleased the Father deeply, and because of that, He had to endure suffering unto death on the cross. God will also allow us to go through various life situations that demand decisions: opportunities to sin, to commit corruption, to repay evil with evil, even to commit adultery. But when we refuse all these and choose to live righteously, we are carrying our cross. Eventually, we will be able to give everything for the sake of the Kingdom of God.
One day, at the judgment seat of God, we will see the entire “investment” of our lives—how we have used our time, strength, and opportunities. Therefore, we must begin now to develop a sense of crisis. This world is already broken: earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, economic crises, moral decay, and collapsing cultures. This world is no longer a comfortable place to live in. So let us end our wrong ways before it’s too late.
How precious the remaining time is if God still gives us to reach achievement in the Kingdom of Heaven. We do not serve for honour or reward, but because we desire to please the heart of the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We owe our very lives to Him. Start with simple things: do what is right, and refrain from what we know is wrong. From there, God will lead us to grow in spiritual intelligence, enabling us to understand His will in all things. Then we will discover our own share of suffering—the cross we must bear. But from that cross will come glory.
Romans 8:17 says, “Only those who suffer with Christ will be glorified with Him.” Therefore, the focus of our lives must be only one: the Kingdom of Heaven. Become people of the future. If we work and live our daily routines today, let us direct all of it toward the process of life transformation—becoming more like Jesus and being valid for God’s Kingdom. Do not live as the world does. While there is still time, seek the Lord. Let us go home together to heaven! Set your heart fully on God. Our pursuit of God will never lessen our responsibility as children, spouses, employees, or citizens. In fact, those who live only for God become the most responsible people of all.
We must live with the mind and heart of Christ, so that every decision we make always aligns with God’s holy nature. The right decision never violates His holiness and justice; instead, it is filled with love, gentleness, and peace. There is no decision meant to harm others. And if anyone feels wronged, there is never any evil intent behind it.
God does not desire that anyone should perish. Yet, if a person is disobedient, their name can be erased from the Book of Life. How terrifying that would be! We are meant to be citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, members of God’s family who are known in heaven. However, due to unfaithfulness, many are not known there, and this is the great tragedy of modern Christianity. Christianity has declined into a mere formal religion. Many Christians are parked in the wrong place—thinking they have chosen God, when in truth they never have. They are Christians by inheritance, not by personal decision
Remember, following Christ cannot be done by merely following others. To truly choose Jesus, one must have a personal encounter with Him, be discipled, and be shaped by Him. There must be a genuine relationship between God, as our Father, and us, as His children. Therefore, do not delay any longer. While God still gives us time and opportunity, make the decision today: choose the Lord, and live only for Him.
