Day and Night
Luke 2:37
“And then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.”
Truth Kids friends, have you ever tried taking care of a small plant? Every day it needs to be watered, given sunlight, and cared for until it grows. If you forget to water it, the plant may wilt. It takes faithfulness every single day, right?
Back when Jesus was born, there was a woman who faithfully worshiped in the temple with fasting and prayer. Her name was Anna. She worshiped day and night, patiently waiting for the coming of the Messiah, the Savior, Jesus Christ. Anna was one of the heroes of faith who remained steadfast in prayer.
So come on, Truth Kids friends, let’s follow the example of Anna, who prayed faithfully day and night. If your prayers seem unanswered, don’t be sad. Keep praying faithfully to Jesus. Staying faithful in prayer will bring great joy when we receive God’s promises.
