Dare to Speak the Truth
Matthew 3:3
“This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: ‘A voice of one calling in the wilderness, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.”’”
Hello, Truth Junior Friends! Have you ever seen someone stay strong in doing what’s right, even when others don’t support them? Maybe you wanted to be honest or pray before eating, but your friends laughed at you.
That’s what John the Baptist experienced! He lived simply in the desert. His clothes were made of camel’s hair, and his food was locusts and wild honey. But John stayed obedient to God and bravely spoke the truth. God called him to prepare the way for Jesus, helping people repent and get ready to welcome the Savior. John wasn’t afraid, even when many people didn’t like his message.
Truth Junior Friends, the world today can feel the same. Sometimes we’re afraid to speak the truth because we fear being teased or left out. We might see friends lying, using bad words, or being lazy to worship. But God wants us to be like John the Baptist—brave, honest, humble, and faithful, even when it’s not popular.
Always remember, Truth Junior Friends: God is pleased with children who dare to do what’s right and obey Him. Let’s learn to live honestly, stay humble, and be brave to stand for the truth—just like John the Baptist!
