Dare to Choose What’s Right

Matthew 27:19
“While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: ‘Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.’”

Truth Junior friends, have you ever felt confused about making a choice? For example, a friend asks you to cheat so you both can get good grades. On one hand, you want a good grade, but deep inside, you know it’s wrong. It’s hard, isn’t it, when we must choose between right and wrong?

In Matthew 27:19, we see an interesting story. When Jesus was on trial, Pilate—the Roman governor—had to decide whether Jesus was guilty or not. While Pilate sat on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him a message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered much in a dream because of Him.” She was reminding Pilate that Jesus was innocent and should be released. But Pilate was afraid of the crowd and ended up making the wrong decision.

Truth Junior friends, sometimes we also feel afraid of peer pressure or want to be liked by others, and that makes us tempted to do something we know is wrong. We may cheat, lie, or join in mocking a friend. But God wants us to be brave and choose what is right, even if it’s not popular or makes us different.

Remember, Jesus always sees our hearts and gives us strength to stand for the truth. So, when you face a tough choice, remember Pilate’s story and pray for courage from God.

Let’s be children who dare to choose God’s way, even when not everyone agrees!
