Damar Faces His Fear

Genesis 26:24
“That night the Lord appeared to him and said, ‘I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.’”

In a small village, there lived a shepherd boy named Damar. Every day, he took his goats to graze in the meadow. One afternoon, a pack of hungry wolves came near. Damar was terrified and could only pray, “Lord, please help me!” Suddenly, a big dog belonging to his neighbor came running and chased the wolves away. Damar was safe—and he realized that God had helped him in an unexpected way.

Damar’s story reminds us of Isaac. Isaac once felt afraid too, but God strengthened him with the promise, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.” Isaac learned that God is faithful and always helps at the right time.

Truth Junior Friends, God is with us every day as well. When we feel scared, worried, or face something stressful, God has many ways to help and protect us. We only need to believe that His promises never fail.

Just like Isaac and Damar, let’s learn to overcome fear with faith. Whenever you feel afraid, say in your heart, “Lord, I believe You are with me.” Then your heart will be strengthened and filled with the peace of God.
