Crossing Over and Walking Forward with Jesus
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”

Have you ever felt scared to step into a new year because you’re not ready to leave the old one behind? Or felt like you haven’t changed enough to start the next chapter? It’s okay. God isn’t asking you to be perfect before you move forward. He’s only asking for one thing: keep your eyes on Jesus.
Hebrews 12:2 reminds us to focus on Him. That means not staring at the past, not comparing yourself to everyone else’s achievements, but looking at the One who never changes. Jesus is the anchor that keeps you steady when the world is moving fast. He stays faithful when you fail, keeps loving you when you drift away, and keeps leading you when you feel lost.
So instead of stressing over a long list of resolutions, why not start with the most important one: stay focused on Jesus. When your focus is right, the rest of your steps will naturally fall into place.
A new year isn’t about becoming a brand-new version of yourself—it’s about walking closer with the same God who has carried you this far. The God who brought you through this year will surely walk with you as you cross into the next, with the same unchanging love.
What to Do:
1. Before midnight, take time to pray personally. Thank God for this year and surrender the year ahead to Him.
2. Pray this simple prayer: “Jesus, I want to start the new year not with my own plans, but with my eyes fixed on You.”
