Courage and Truth
Matthew 27:19
“While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: ‘Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.’”
“But Mom… if I tell the truth, my friends might get mad at me,” Rina said with a worried face.
Her mother looked at her gently and said, “Rina, remember the story of Pilate’s wife? She received a dream from God about Jesus. Even though it was risky, she still bravely spoke the truth.”
Rina paused for a moment, then nodded slowly. The next day, when her teacher asked who had really thrown trash carelessly, Rina raised her hand and told the truth, even though she was afraid. Some of her friends were upset, but she felt relieved because she had spoken honestly.
Truth Kids friends, living faith makes us brave to be honest and speak the truth, even when it comes with risks. Just like Pilate’s wife who did not stay silent when she knew the truth, we too can be heroes of faith through courage. God is pleased when His children hold on to the truth. So come on, don’t be afraid to be honest and speak what is right. That’s the sign of a faith that is truly alive in God!
