Today’s devotional is titled:
Conflict as a Blessing
Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Conflict is something that can’t be avoided—whether with friends, parents, or even in ministry. But the good news is: conflict isn’t the end of a relationship; it can actually be an opportunity to show love. God wants us to learn to see conflict not as a threat, but as an opportunity to grow and demonstrate the character of Christ.
As young people, we often think conflict must be avoided or won. Yet, if we enter conflict with a heart full of love, we can become a blessing. The way we respond with patience, listening, and without getting defensive can make others feel valued. That’s what turns conflict into an opportunity to demonstrate God’s love.
Conflict faced with love can become a bridge to deeper relationships. When we choose peace, we’re showing that love is stronger than ego. From there, our relationships can become healthier, and we learn to become mature individuals in Christ.
What to Do?
• If there’s a conflict, take time to calm down and pray before responding.
• Listen first to the other person’s perspective; don’t rush to react or judge.
• Choose words that build others up, so that conflict becomes an opportunity to show love.
