Commitment Without Turning Back
Luke 9:62
“No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Living in God is not always a smooth journey. There are challenges, temptations, and even moments when we feel like giving up. But once we commit to growing in the Lord, we must dare to say: no turning back.
A real-life story that went viral was about Laura Anna, a young Indonesian who became paralyzed after an accident. Even though her condition was heavy, Laura bravely spoke out, fought for justice, and inspired many people through her testimony. Films and media coverage of her struggle touched countless young people, because she showed commitment to stay strong even when her path was full of challenges.
Commitment is like climbing a mountain. Sometimes you get tired, sometimes you feel like stopping, but if you keep moving forward, you’ll eventually reach the peak. In the same way with faith if we keep pressing on, God will give us strength. Friends, don’t let challenges make you quit. It’s through those challenges that our character is shaped and our faith grows stronger.
God wants us to be a generation that boldly says “no turning back.” Once we choose to follow Jesus, we must keep walking until the end. The world may offer shortcuts, but walking with God is always more valuable. Remember, commitment is not just about starting with enthusiasm it’s about enduring to the very end.
What to Do?
1. Reflect on your commitment: are you truly willing to grow in God without turning back?
2. Face challenges with prayer and faith—don’t let problems make you give up.
3. Find spiritual friends who can support you to remain faithful in your journey of faith.
