Choosing What Is Best

Luke 10:39
“She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.”

Hello, Truth Junior friends!
Today we will learn from a woman in the Bible named Mary. In Luke 10:39, it says that Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and listened to Him carefully. Wow! Mary truly wanted to be close to the Lord and learn from Him!

At that time, Jesus was visiting the home of Mary and her sister, Martha. Martha was busy preparing many things, but Mary chose to spend her time with Jesus. She knew that time with the Lord is the most precious treasure.

Truth Junior friends, sometimes we also have many activities—playing, watching TV, or attending lessons. But don’t forget to spend time with God! Like Mary, we can choose what is best: drawing near to Jesus through prayer, reading the Bible, or listening to Bible story.

Jesus said that Mary had chosen what is best, and it would not be taken away from her. This means that our time with the Lord will always bring blessings and strength into our lives.

So, Truth Junior friends, let’s take time every day to sit quietly and meet Jesus in prayer and His Word. Even if it’s just a short moment, if we do it sincerely, God will be pleased! Remember, being close to Jesus is the best choice we can make each day. Let’s be God’s children who love to sit at His feet and listen to His voice!
